This is very useful and permits you to use iPer Hyper Publish PRO as an “hypertext glue” for projects built with different programs (for example you can write a descriptive hypertext that will run some third-part exes, some external files; you can even ask the user to run the <i>setup.exe</i> of external programs required to read some files, such as Acrobat, DirectX, and so on...). </div> <div class="s0"> Advanced users can also setup things in order to allow the user to read some hypertext documents directly from the CD (<a class="s0" href="cd_web_catalog_software_000149.htm">click here to see how</a>). </div> <div class="s0"> A great feature for each CD / DVD built with HP is the built-in keyword search and full-text search capability (<a class="s0" href="cd_web_catalog_software_000005.htm">click here to know more</a>). </div> <div class="s0"> If you need an auto-run and not auto-install CDROM, please take a look to <a class="s0" href="http://www.cdfrontend.com/" target="_new" >CDFrontEnd (click here)</a>. </div> <div class="s0">  </div> <div class="s2"> <b>Automatic update  </b></div> <div class="s0"> It is possible to give to your users the option to remotely update the document / catalog. This is useful if your hypertext is a business catalog and you want to keep your customers up to date; and for many other purposes...  </div> <div class="s0"> The process is simple. First, you must know that the updated AEH file should be placed on your web server, with a common FTP software, or with the HyperPublish internal “Generic FTP” feature (available under the Publish menu).  </div> <div class="s0"> Say the file is <i>testup.aeh</i>, it has been placed within the folder <i>/www/download/up/</i> of our web server, so it is accessible on the web with <i>http://www.visualvision.com/download/up/testup.aeh</i>  </div> <div class="s0"> By the way it is not needed that this file is present right now (as it is supposed to be an update, you will create this file in the future, not now). However to place a test file could be useful for you to do some tests, and we say this now to have a file name to be used as example.  </div> <div class="s0"> Now, you open your current work in HP, you use the Hypertext >Current Hypertext Properties menu, and you tell the program what is the URL path of the folder on your web server where a updated file exists; in our example, this path is <i>http://www.visualvision.com/download/up/</i>  </div> <div class="s0"> That’s all. This is memorized within the hypertext properties.  </div> <div class="s0"> Now the CD you will create will contain the update instructions.  </div> <div class="s0"> The end users of the CD/DVD will be able to just click “File >Automatic update” and, provided that they have a working Internet connection and that your web server is operating properly (and the file <i>testup.aeh</i> -or whatever- is correctly placed), they will get the update on their hard disk.  </div> <div class="s0">  </div> <div class="s0"> In case you want to update just a section of your work, you may divide the work
